- Since the WWW is popular for research, news, Aminet(for me), and other
- weird stuff, I'm considering two things: get a notebook pc or set up
- the PPP, TCP/IP, and Aweb on my A3000 along with getting a new modem.
- I'm looking forward to using the browser in the long term which will
- require Netscape and Java-compatible browser. (BTW, AWeb really blow
- away those slow Amosaic beta versions).
- No flames please which is why I avoided asking this question in
- the advocacy group. I will NOT abandon the Amiga. I'll use it for more
- heavy-duty stuff like Aladdin 4D and World Construction Set renderings.
- Rendering will slow my A3000/16mhz to a crawl so I thought I might be
- better off having a notebook computer dedicated to the Internet activities.
- (perhaps a 486, or a P75 if 486 is underpowered...).
- Or should I just use my Amiga and put the WCS rendering in the background?
- (Aladdin 4D doesn't multitask when it is rendering. :-( ).
- Let me know which path I should take? Or offer something else that I
- haven't considered.
- Thanks,
